 10 & 11 October, 17 & 18 October, 7.30pm

NO Productions Theatre Company present the 2023 Heritage Festival season of Nataliya Oryshchuk’s award-winning play Dear Jane to celebrate the 200th birthday anniversary of Jane Deans in the magnificent setting of Riccarton House.

Born in the 19th century Scottish Riccarton, Jane decides to marry John Deans, one of the first Canterbury settlers. The story of their intermittent 10-year courtship, marriage and emigration is based on real-life events and closely entwined with the history of Riccarton House. The House was built under the supervision of Jane Deans herself, and the show will be performed in its beautiful Fine Dining Room. As twilight falls on the beautiful mansion, the audience will travel back in time to meet ghosts of the past...

The previous season of the show, cut short by the pandemic, was described by critics and audiences as “captivating”, “seamless”, “deeply moving” and “magical”.

Directed by the play’s author Nataliya Oryshchuk, Dear Jane will be performed by the finest Christchurch actors Eilish Moran, David Allen and Matt Hudson.

Due to the nature of the venue, seats are strictly limited. PG 13 recommended. Four nights only.

Dates: 10-11 October, 17-18 October.

Time: 7.30pm
